South Carolina WBB gives Highlighters' Locker Room an Update

Wholesome news you may have missed this week, as South Carolina Women's Basketball has updated the locker room for their beloved practice squad, the Highlighters.
The Carolina Coliseum has been in use since it opened in 1968. It served as the home to South Carolina Basketball for nearly four decades. The Gamecocks officially moved into Colonial Life Arena for games in 2002, making the Coliseum their practice facility.
The upgrade includes LED light strips, new mirrors, and wall decor. The much-needed locker room facelift comes just in time as the Highlighters returned to action for the 2025-26 season.
The Walk Through is presented by Tilly's Warehouse, located at 2000B Greene St, Columbia.
The unit announced the change via their Instagram on Monday,
"The Highlighters are back in action this week with an updated locker room! We’re looking forward to working this preseason in preparation for another great upcoming season⛹🏽."
Always good to show love for a group that made history as the first-ever practice squad with an NIL deal, signing with recovery footwear brand OOFOS in February.
South Carolina Head Women's Basketball Coach Dawn Staley secured the deal for the unit, having a prior relationship with the brand.
The Walk Through is presented by Tilly's Warehouse, located at 2000B Greene St, Columbia.
"They sacrifice so much and they work so hard," Staley said of the group in February. "They do enough to where I know their dogs are hurting sometimes."
Surely the locker room update will have the guys ready to give South Carolina women's basketball all that they can handle this season.
The Gamecocks have already been hard at work in prep for a return trip to the Final Four. "Final Four Friday" workouts are posted to feed each week during the offseason. They have become a signature of Molly Binetti and Staley's offseason training plans.
